Embark on your own Bay of Islands Private Yacht Charter, sailing from Russell Wharf at 10am, or earlier if that suits you. With Vigilant reserved exclusively for your group, enjoy a personalised day on the water – whether that means relaxed sailing, island exploring, kayaking, snorkelling, or simply soaking up the views from deck.
We’ll sail to a sheltered bay where you set the pace. Go ashore for a walk, swim in crystal-clear waters, or unwind with plenty of time to enjoy the Bay your way.
A fresh, homegrown lunch is served on deck, prepared by your crew. Then, as the afternoon breeze fills the sails, we make our way back across the Bay, arriving in Russell by 330pm – the perfect ending to your unforgettable private charter experience.

Vigilant carries two kayaks, as well as snorkelling equipment for you to use and enjoy during our island time.
Lunch
Lunch is a fresh wrap or salad with veggies straight from our garden, we’re happy to cater to any dietary requirements, just let us know in advance.
Wildlife
Dolphins, penguins, friendly sharks and seabirds are frequently sighted so remember to pack your camera.

Your private charter will depart the Russell wharf at 10am, and return at 330pm, these times are flexible if you prefer earlier or later. Only $1750NZD for up to 10 people onboard, for a magical day in the Bay of Islands.
If you’d like a larger group on your private day charter, Vigilant can cater for up to 13 people, at an additional $175NZD per person.
